What is a glazed extension?
We often get asked what the difference between a conservatory, extension, and glazed extension is. The simplest answer is that a Glazed Extension sits somewhere in between the two. The key differences are that with a Glazed Extension you would have a solid and insulated roof (as in an extension), but you would typically leave the thermal break (i.e. the doors from the house) intact as you would with a conservatory. Then, provided each aspect of the Glazed Extension is constructed to the appropriate standards, you can have building regulations sign off without having to offset the additional glazing.
Why Choose a Glazed Extension?
A glazed Extension combines the best bits of both an extension and a conservatory, so it is the perfect way to have a room that is both flooded with natural light, yet still useable all year round. Glazed Extensions are an incredibly versatile option, as you can have structures that are almost entirely glazing, right up to something that you could hardly distinguish from a traditional extension. They are also wonderfully versatile with roof styles, whether you opt for a lightweight solid roof, orangery roof or traditional clay tiled roof, the choices are almost endless!

I’m absolutely delighted with the conservatory, it looks great and the finish is excellent. I’m working on some new projects in 2023 which will involve windows and doors and will certainly be in touch.

I thought I would drop you a note to say thanks. Having started with a structure which was falling down and covering we knew not what, your team have done a great job. They adapted to the obstacles put in their way and we have ended up with not just a conservatory but a very attractive finish to the whole of the side of the house. They were more than happy to adapt throughout the process and the finished product is great.
So, many thanks again and I will happily recommend you to my friends and colleagues.

They cared about how the final job was completed and took pride in their work. The end result -we now have an incredbly smart new room which just changes the whole house. Would I recommend them- in a heart beat. Are they value for money- I don't think you would find better. Do they care about the build- most definitely
